Story writing class: Sunday at 7am PST

Maria wakes up and, like every morning, turns the radio on.
But today the radio is silent. Maria is distraught. This is an old radio that her mother used to listen to every day, and her grandmother before that. Maria has become attached to the radio as if it were a family member.
She decides to go to the old city to see if she can find someone who knows how to repair an ancient radio.
Maria pushes the switch to turn on the radio but no sound comes out from the speaker. "Oh it's a pity! I was so attached to this radio" - she says, sadly - "I should find a way to fix it!"
She goes to the town to look for a repair person. Luckily, she found him.
Her research seems to be more difficult than she thought, but finally, while she is going through the park, she sees a shop's sign, opposite to her, on which is written "come here to Luigi....I can repair everything.
She enters in there but it's dark. She calls out loud: "Is there anyone here?"
The door opens and a small man with gray hair and beard come out from the door. His voice is soft and gentle: "May I help you?"
When he talks, suddenly the radio plays white noise. Maria stares at the radio and says, "Oh wow, what did you do to my radio?". Luigi answers, "Come, let me tell you how the story goes."
He starts to giggle. "Yes, it's an old radio but it seems to have just a bad connection. Maybe some cable inside is broken. Let me see..." he says, and invites her to give the radio to him. She is ready to give it to him but suddenly she recognizes something strange in his face. He has a very big scar in his left eye, and with a little bit of hesitation she passes the radio to Mr.Luigi.
He takes her radio and, holding his tiny screwdriver in a hand, starts to disassemble it. "Here it is!" - he exclaims - "Let me show you where the problem is. Can you see this tiny resistor in the corner? Well, I'm going to set it as new in a moment and, fortunately for you, it isn't an expansive repair.
She asks him, "How much is it?". He says, "Please wait here and I'll be right back".
He goes behind the counter, takes the receipt book and slowly, with trembling hands, he writes the figure and hands it to her.
She sees the name 'Julia' written on the cover of the book, and she seems to recognize the handwriting of her granny. She directly asks him, "Hey, how do you know my granny's name?"
He seems surprised about that question."Julia?" - He repeats spelling the name - "Are you the granddaughter of Julia? Oh man!"
He laughs but he doesn't reply to Maria's question. So Maria seems to be upset.
So, with having a lot of questions in her mind, she decides to go back home. suddenly, while she's driving her car, she remembers a picture of him beside her grandma Julia..."
How is it possible? He should be dead right now" She goes back to the shop but magically the shop has disappeared and the room is empty.
She stays there for a while and then looks at the radio and says, "Oh, my dear friend, whoever he is, thanks to him, we are together, now and forever I hope."
When Maria arrives at her home, she immediately puts the radio on the table and sits down on the chair. She turns the switch on: the familiar sound of the voice on the radio echoes in the house.
Suddenly she hears her granny's voice through the radio. She says, "Listen to me my love, I talk to you from the land of the dead. The radio is a curse, you should destroy it because you will never have a good day when the radio still nearby you. Destroy it now after you hear my message!" Maria takes hammer and destroy the radio.

He went to the back of the counter and take the receipt book and slowly with trembling hands he write the figure and handed it to her.
He seems surprised about that question."Julia?" - He repeats spelling the name - "Are you the granddaughter of Julia? Oh man! Ahahahha" he laughts but he doesn't reply to Maria's question. So Maria seems to be upset.
So, by having a lot of questions in her mind she decides to go back home, when suddenly she is driving her car, she remembers a picture of him beside her GrandMA Julia..."How is it possible?!?! He should be died right now". She gets there again and magically that shop is disappeared with an empty old one......
She stays there in a while and then looks at the radio, "Oh, my dear friend, whoever he is, thanks to him, we are together now and forever I think", she says and touches it. She drives back to her home.
When Maria at her home, she immediately put the radio on the table and sit down on the chair. She turns the switch on, the familiar sound of the voice on the radio echoes in the house.
Suddenly she hears her granny's voice through the radio. She says, "Listen to me my love, I talks to you from passed". The radio is a curse, you should destroy it, because you will never have a good day when the radio still nearby you. Destroy it now after you hear my message! Then she takes hammer and destroy the radio.
