This is not a class. 2 teams. Each player will receive a notecard with 5 categories. CEM will type a letter of the alphabet. Each team will have 5 minutes to find 5 words beginning with that letter, one for each category. When the time is up one player for each team has to type the words in chat. In turn, players will have to read the words and explain their meaning to other players in order to gain 1 point for each word successfully explained. (attention googlers: if you can't explain a word, don't write it).

ESL SL. The next bubble?

Financial markets are crumbling all over the world. In the past week, despite emergency measures taken by central banks all over the world, stock exchanges have lost 20/30% of their value and there is no end in sight to this fall. Forecast: cannibalism. In this desperate situation rumors of a raise of class prices starting January 1st, 2009 at ESL SL, Home of DRIVE-THROUGH ESL have started what some analyst call the "ESL SL bubble" Investors, knowing that fees paid before the raise will be honoured indefinitely, have started buying classes now. Many financial analysts who spend a a lot of time in SL after loosing their rl job agree that the signs are good: there hasn't been a raise in fees since the school started in 2006, so it should be a big one, providing big gains for investors. Mayhem99Jim from internet says "It's not only a short-term investment, I think fees will raise regularly from now on and classes bought in 2008 will appreciate at a pretty constant rate. This is why I put ESL SL in my retirement-plan portfolio as well." "It's a win/win situation." says krtddpukeII "It's one of the few speculative opportunities available today for investors and it will make the transition to new price easier fore students." Financial officers at the school have declined to comment.

Beginner classes - Pilot Teacher: Inge Qunhua Drive Through is offering ESL summer classes for beginners. There will be 8 classes starting Thursday, 24 July at 6am PDT. All classes at 6am PDT The curriculum is designed to help you deal with everyday situations. Fee: 5.500L Open to HT members. Please check Class Calendar for dates. (Scroll to next week) The classes are voice. We will practise vocabulary, phrases and pronunciation, role playing, questions and answers. Students will receive a note card with useful vocabulary and phrases at the beginning of each class. There will be at test at the end of the course. The students who pass will receive a certificate from Drive Trough ESL SL. Class 1 at the Café: The focus of this class will be: Vocabulary and phrases related to meeting people, ordering food and drinks, introducing yourself and small talk. SUMMER PROGRAM 10 WEEKS

Sunday June 22, 7am PDT Seikatsu will start her Summer Program. It is the first time we offer something like this, it is a PILOT Program.

All Classes will be TEXT.

Level: This program is open to anyone. Recommended for A2/B1 students, fearless beginners, rusty experienced students.
