Story writing class: Sunday at 7am PDT

Amy woke up to the familiar sound of an incoming Instant Message.
It was from her boss. She didn't have to wait for him to finish typing, she knew what he would write: "You're late for work."
Amy was already dressed. She only had to raise from her bed and push the button on the wall.
It was rush hour, so the teleport was laggy, It took her about ten seconds to appear in front of her boss.

Her boss said: "Did you read my IM, did you bring it with you?". Amy answered: "Sorry Sir, bring what?"

Her boss became angry with her. She went to her office and started to work.

She checked her phone and read his message. She was silent for a while. She decided to go back home and look for the thing her boss had asked.

Amy saw the message. Her boss had asked her about the report for the project but she had not finished it.

She always did everything well, but recently she had lost her concentration because of personal reasons, and many project she participated in were rejected. Since she had been involved in this project for a long time, and she thought the proposal had not been approved, she didn't continue to do it. She couldn't remember exactly where she had put all the material.. She started fearing of getting fired. She called her colleague, Peter, to ask if he had borrowed the report.

Peter told her he had given the report to the boss, but he could help her to write the report. She answered: "Thank you for helping me".
They stayed all night and worked on the report.

However, when they finished and gave it to their boss, he said, "I had waited your report for ages but I heard nothing, so I asked Nina, a newcomer, do it. Nina gave me the report yesterday"
Amy felt disappointed, she had thought this project would help her regain her confidence. Peter felt sorry for Amy and asked their boss to reconsider Amy's report: "I am sure this report will satisfy you, please read it."

Amy became happy because her boss felt comfortable. After that, her boss patted Amy on her shoulder and said: "You're the best, but I need you to work more.''
Amy went to thank Peter. He was tired because he had worked with her all night to finish that report, and they went home.
